Our DBMI model replicated by SGPGI and JIPMER

It is gratifying to note that our model of a Department of Biostatistics and Medical Informatics has now been replicated by such prestigious institution as Sanjay Gandhi Post Graduate Institute of Medical Sciences (SGPGI), Lucknow, and Jawahar Lal Nehru Institute of Post Graduate Medical Education and Research (JIPMER), Pondicherry. They have setup new department with similar names. We set up such a department in the University College of Medical Sciences, Delhi, in the year 1995 although it was an independent Division till earlier. It is a full department since the year 2005. Dr A. Indrayan was the first head of this department. This kind of Department was set up in SGPGI in the year 2010 and in JIPMER in the year 2012.
